If you don't have anything at all it is useful to have black and white in both mediums plus three other colours - red, yellow & blue. Otherwise start with what you already have and as you watch the materials video and further lessons you may decide to add more supplies
Requirements
- Please watch Lesson 2: Materials video before purchasing any materials so that you can check your own art supplies before purchasing any required extra materials.
Features
- We'll start with mixing acrylic paints, learning how to quickly blend colours together to create the background.
- Understanding the different types of gouache will lead us onto adding gouache patterns to the acrylic samples, so you get a feel for how the two mediums work together.
- We'll then add further details with acrylic pens and fine liners, creating plenty of texture.
- Using reference material and a very easy cut-out and collage technique, we'll draw out our composition.
- Ready to begin the final step-by-step painting, using the skills learned during the practice sessions.
Target audiences
- This course is suitable for all levels including beginners
